Pinhole Photography.
A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens and with a single small hole – When light passes through this hole and the image inverters to the opposite side of the box. One example of a similar pinhole that is part of us is the human eye. The human eye does exactly what a pinhole camera does, yes that does mean that the image inverts however our brain flips that image back around. That's why we don't see the world upside down.
You can make pinhole cameras out of a lot of different materials form example: seashells, cardboard boxes, tins , coke cans, food, containers and lots more other different materials.

Steven Pippin.
Steven Pippin was a famous pinhole artist who made loads of different types of pinholes. I like this image better then the others because i think its really creative and weird, it looks like his placed this camera in a washing machine. The texture within the image looks grainy and there are lots of black marks which makes it look really old, vintage. The Person within the image looks really clear so the lens must have been really small and the exposure time must be a few minutes because there is lots of detail. |
Unusual Pinhole Cameras. You can make a pinhole camera out of almost anything. Here are some examples of very unusual pinholes for example, someone has made a camera out of a peanut, egg and a pumpkin. You can also put several pinholes in one camera.
